Cops dance to raise funds for flood victims

CAMP DANGWA, La Trinidad, Benguet -- A youth organization supported by the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 15 held  “Zumba-for-a-cause” to raise funds for families affected by the mudslides and flash floods which struck Banaue, Ifugao recently.
    Dubbed “Oplan Sagip Kapamilya”, the 2-hour Zumba was held at the multipurpose gym in this regional police headquarters on July 19.
    The activity raised P9,000 from  94 cops who participated in the dance event.
    The proceeds of the fund-raising activity will be turned over to the three families who lost their homes in Banaue.
    Proceeds will be given to families of Jason Pinkihan, William Tucdaan and Arthur Dirige for purchase of materials to repair the victims’ houses.
    The activity ended with a call for donations from YMF Cordillera in partnership with Regional Mobile Force Battalion 15, Sangguniang Kabataan of Ifugao and Kabataan Kontra Droga At Terorismo - Ifugao Chapter for the affected families.
    The fund donation will be used to buy materials like plywood, galvanized iron sheets, nails, cement among others.
