LAOAG CITY – Gov. Matthew Marcos Manotoc
recently led a series of "Capitol Express," showcasing stronger
commitment of the provincial government of Ilocos to achieve brighter future
for every Ilokano family.
"Capitol Express" or "CapEx" is the brainchild of Sen. Imee R. Marcos, who was a three-term governor of Ilocos Norte.
In 2019, the program was institutionalized by the Provincial Board and was streamlined to increase its line-up of services and prioritize barangays in far-flung communities.

Manotoc, who was re-elected governor with an
overwhelming victory, expressed his gratitude to his constituents and
reiterated his commitment to ensuring that every Ilokano can provide for their
families by expanding employment opportunities.
“Welcome to ‘Capitol Express’ kung saan
ng bawat Ilokano,” he said.
On May 26, Manotoc, with front line offices of the provincial government, brought various government services to the municipalities of Pagudpud, Bangui, Nueva Era, and Marcos.
The provincial government’s Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises Office distributed cash and goods to local entrepreneurs and “sari-sari” store owners. Meanwhile, the Provincial Health Office led health consultations, the distribution of medical equipment, and vaccination services for Covid-19.
Agriculture inputs were granted to different “zanjera” and farmer groups; and financial assistance and food packs were given to several individuals.
In his speech, said he sought the support of President-elect Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., his uncle, to improve the services of “CapEx.”
“Salamat sa inyong suporta sa Marcos Family at maaasahan niyo po na gagawin namin ang lahat para mapagaan ang mga buhay ninyo. Sama-sama tayo upang i-develop ang ating ekonomiya at siguraduhing ang bawat kailian po natin ay may kita para sa pamilya,” he said. – PGIN press release
