Ilocos Norte eyed ‘tourism rest area’

ILOCOS NORTE is being eyed as one of 10 pilot “tourism rest areas” in the country, Tourism Secretary Christina Garcia-Frasco said.

The project is part of the government’s tourism development strategy, he added, noting clean restrooms with lounges are among most basic aspects of travel.

These rest areas will be constructed on Saud Beach Park in Barangay Saud, Pagudpud, she said.

In April 2021, international magazine Travel+Leisure named Saud Beach one of 25 most beautiful beaches in the world.
