Drug surrenderee held for selling P36-K shabu

CAMP DANGWA, La Trinidad, Benguet -- A former drug surenderee will be facing charges for violating Republic Act 9165 or Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 after he was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Lagangilang, Abra Feb. 7.
    Citing the reports submitted to Cordillera police director Brig. Gen. Mafelino A. Bazar, the arrested suspect was identified as Sherwin Vanjon Damoasen Bernal, 37, tagged “high-value individual” (HVI) drug surenderee when         Oplan Tokhang was implemented by police in 2016.
    Same report said anti-illegal drugs operatives of Abra monitored activities of the suspect since he was also arrested last 2021 after the search warrant implemented in his residence resulted in seizure of illegal drugs.
    Following this, elements of Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit and Lagangilang Municipal Police Station launched buy-bust operation that resulted in the arrest of Bernal after he sold suspected shabu weighing around 5.39 grams worth P36,652 to police who posed as buyer.
    Confiscated items were inventoried and witnessed by Norberto Aldaca, Sagguniang Bayan member of Lagangilang, and Edgar Tanura of DPZA Radio Station, the regional police information office said.
    Bernal and seized items brought into custody of Lagangilang Police Station.

Woman nabbed for shabu sale   in Baguio City

BAGUIO CITY – Police arrested as woman listed as high value individual in a buy-bust operation inside a hotel here Feb. 12.

Arrested was May Ann Cerezo De Guzman, 39, single, unemployed, and resident of Purok 5, Barangay Pinget.

De Guzman was arrested after she allegedly sold 1.1 grams of shabu worth P6,896 to an undercover agent during the buy-bust operation conducted by operatives from the City Drug Enforcement Unit and Philippine Drug Enforcement Group.

The confiscated item was inventoried at the site witnessed by representatives of the Dept. of Justice and barangay officials.
