‘Spidermen’ clean Mines View slope

BAGUIO CITY -- Barangay officials and park
vendors at Mines View here conducted clean-up drive ala Spidermen in ropes to
collect accumulated trash strewn below the deck early Monday.
Mayor Benjamin B. Magalong reminded residents and tourists to keep the city clean particularly tourists’ destinations or else these will be closed to visitors.
Meanwhile at the central business district, barangay officials and owners of commercial establishments are retold to monitor public spaces to ensure proper disposal of garbage and that trash bins are not overflowing.
Tourists were told to help keep the city clean by minding their garbage in respect to residents.
Commercial establishments are warned not to dispose of their used oils into the drainage system to avoid clogging and stench odor in the central business district.
All barangay officials in Baguio City are likewise reminded to keep their areas of jurisdictions clean and orderly as they were elected to safeguard the environment, the people while promoting economic activities. – JMPS
