68 wanted persons nabbed in Cordillera: zero crime in 44 towns

CAMP DANGWA, Benguet – Sixty-eight wanted personalities were arrested in a week-long intensified manhunt operation in the Cordillera region.
    The Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division (RIDMD) said from March 19 to March 25, the Benguet Police Provincial Office nabbed 23 wanted persons, followed by the Baguio City Police Office with 12, Abra PPO with 10, Apayao PPO with seven, Ifugao PPO with six, and Kalinga PPO and Mountain Province PPO, five each.
    Seventeen were listed as Most Wanted Persons. One was listed on the regional level and five each on the provincial and municipal levels and three on the city and station levels.
    Brig. Gen. David Peredo Jr., Police Regional Office-Cordillera chief, said as a result of the intensified police visibility and campaign against criminality, 51 municipalities in the region and one police station in Baguio City recorded zero crime incidents during the week.
    Zero crime incidents were recorded in 20 municipalities in Abra, two in Apayao, seven in Benguet, five in Kalinga, nine in Mountain Province, and eight in Ifugao.
    The BCPO Station 9 (Irisan) had zero crime incidents out of 10 police stations in Baguio.
