Buguias son awarded best cop in Basilan

Despite news reports of wrongdoings involving policemen continue to grab
the headlines, the Philippine National Police was not deterred from presenting
awards to deserving police officials during its 122nd Police Service
Anniversary on August 25, 2023.
PBGen. Allan C. Nobleza, PNP Regional Director in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region (BAR) assisted Gov. Salliman in giving awards to deserving individuals and units during the annual PNP celebration.
In celebrating the event, PCol. Robert S. Daculan, the provincial director of Lanao del Sur Police Provincial Office who traces his roots to Buguias, Benguet was awarded the Best Police Commissioned Officer for Operation by Basilan Governor Hadjiman Hataman Salliman.
Two more police officers from the Cordillera who are assigned with the Lanao Del Sur PPO received awards from Gov. Salliman.
PLt.Col Thomas R. Pantaleon Jr. of Kibungan, Benguet was awarded as Best Junior Police Commissioned Officer for Operation and as head of the 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company that was also cited as the Best PMFC, while PLt.Col. Gieson Baniaga of Sagada, Mtn. Province; chief of Marawi City Police Station received the award for the Best Component City Police Station.
The PNP event with this year’s theme: “Nagkakaisang Pulisya at Pamayanan tungo sa Mapayapa at Maunlad na Bansa” was held at the PNP Regional Office grandstand at Camp BGen Salipada K Pendatun, Parang, Maguindanao del Norte.
