2 nabbed for drugs; P900K MJ burned

CAMP DANGWA, La Trinidad, Benguet – Police cops arrested two women and seized P912,800 in anti-illegal drugs operations Oct. 17 in Cordillera.
Reports to regional police director Brig. Gen. David K. Peredo identified those arrested as Diana Manggad, 33 and Moraine Caile Tabios Ricablanca, 21.
Manggad was nabbed in Abra by elements of Abra Police Provincial Office, Regional Mobile Force Battalion 15 and Regional Intelligence Unit-14 in Barangay Gangal, Sallapadan, after she sold a sachet of suspected shabu weighing 0.9 grams worth P6,000 to a police officer who acted as buyer.
Ricablanca was arrested in Baguio City by elements of Baguio City Police Office, Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit and RIU-14 after she sold a sachet of a gram of suspected shabu worth P 6, 800 to a cop.
The suspects and confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to the custody of their respective operating units where charges for violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 were prepared against them.
Meanwhile, cops, seized and burned 4, 500 fully-grown marijuana plants worth P900,000 discovered in two plantation sites in Barangay Tacadang, Kibungan, Benguet.
All marijuana plants were uprooted and burned at the sites.
Investigation is on to identify cultivators.
