Cessna plane missing in Isabela

BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya — A Cessna plane was reported missing after taking off from the Palanan airport in Isabela Thursday.
Reports said the Cyclone aircraft with tail number RP-C1234 took off from the domestic airport in Cauayan at 9:39 a.m., but failed to arrive at the coastal town airport.
The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines said on board the aircraft were the pilot, Capt. Levy Abul II, and an unidentified passenger.
Authorities tried but failed to contact the plane’s radio and mobile phones of the pilot.
Search, rescue operations and investigation are ongoing.
