Cops discover Abra NPA camp; seize war materials

TUBO, Abra -- An abandoned camp of the New People’s Army was discovered by Abra cops where several war materials were found here in Barangay Kili on Nov. 27, the regional police information office said.
    A report submitted to regional police director Brig. Gen. David K. Peredo Jr. said elements of 143rd Special Action Company, 14th Special Action Battalion,  Abra Police Provincial Office, Mountain Province PPO and Regional Mobile Force Battalion 15, were conducting operations at said barangay when they discovered the encampment along with one anti-personnel mine  (PVC type), two dynamite, four pieces of detonating cord, ICOM handheld radio, two ICOM battery chargers, assorted wiring, one solar panel, Motorola and Nokia chargers, two Dynamo and a grease gun.
    Other subversive documents, several communication devices, tools, medicine kits, and personal belongings were taken  by police from the camp.
    Items are now in the custody of Tubo MPS and EOD Abra while police area searching adjacent areas of the CTG encampment NPA guerillas.
