San Carlos warrant officer killed

SAN CARLOS CITY, Pangasinan – A warrant officer of this town was killed after he was robbed of at least P400,000.

A police report said the body of San Carlos police warrant officer SPO3 Gerardo Macaraeg was found in San Manuel, Tarlac.

Before his death, he was supposed to be serving a warrant of arrest in San Manuel and was also set to buy a second hand vehicle when he was attacked.

Police said his wallet containing at least P400,000 was missing. Also missing were his service firearm and important belongings.

Latest report stated that he went to San Manuel last July 26. His cadaver, which bore bullet wounds, was found the other day inside a Starex van.

Three of his companions when he went to San Manuel were tagged as suspects in the killing. – Jennelyn Mondejar
