Cops hunt ambushers of ex-ISAF region chief

BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya– Police are still looking for the killers of a former regional chief of the Intelligence Service of the Armed Forces of the Philippines who died Feb. 29, a day after he was waylaid in Tuguegarao City, Cagayan, police said.
Reports said Lauro Parallag, who retired from the military about five years ago after more than 35 years in the service, died while doctors at the Catholic Church-run Saint Paul Hospital in Tuguegarao City were trying to remove a slug from his head.
Police didn’t say if there were witnesses to the incident saying they are still looking for clues. – CL
