TABUK, Kalinga – Cordillera People’s Liberation Army interim chairman Arsenio Humiding has issued an order creating a task force to investigate the alleged involvement of CPLA men in squatting activities here at the Dontogan, Dreamland and Piripin Bato areas.
The order also orderd the task force to investigate Mailed G. Molina, (who still claims to be the CPLA chief) on his alleged involvement in other “activities” like representing the CPLA as an organization without the collective approval of the group.
The task force shall submit a written report including affidavits to Humiding as basis for filing cases against Molina in keeping with their vows and commitment to “Oplan Dalus” to “cleanse” the CPLA of scalawags
Oplan Dalus Team Leader, Tirso Iwangga, is now working closely with the task force headed by Miguel Assud.
Iwangga said they have already identified the people being used by Molina for his “illegal” activities in Baguio and Benguet. “The team works in partnership with the police force,” he said.
In related developments, the CPLA Abra Command, supposed to be Molina’s stronghold signed the manifesto declaring loss of confidence in him and supporting Humiding as interim chairman.
“Manipud nag-chairman ni Mailed awan pulos assessment nga nangnangyari,” Ka Wanwan, a CPLA member from Abra said.
Iwanga said other area commands of CPLA in Mountain Province, Ifugao, Apayao and Kalinga have supported the manifesto and Oplan Dalus.
Molina is reportedly trying hard to regain his power by declaring a status quo. But according to Iwanga, the area commands have manifested their strong position for his removal as chairman.
Humiding together with Iwangga, who appeared before the City Council on Nov. 9, were cited by city officials for their thrust in ridding the CPLA of scalawags.
