Gunman in bocap’s murder surrenders

BANGUED, Abra -- A teenager, the alleged gunman in shooting of the late Punong Barangay Loreto O. Barbosa identified as Jonel M. De Mesa, 18, old, single and resident of Barangay Lingtan here surrendered to police on March 26.

Witness Jomer P. Bergonia identified De Mesa as the gunman in the murder of Barbosa.

The suspect was accompanied by his father-in-law, Barangay Kagawad Abenton Layugan of Barangay Tui, Daguioman in surrendering to the Daguioman municipal police station.

He was turned over to Chief Insp. Lou Salvador Aglibot Claro chief of the investigation branch of Abra provincial police office.
