Ifugao gov’tbares fund use on autonomy campaign

LAGAWE, Ifugao —The provincial government here recently bared its advocacy activities on Cordillera regional autonomy and an accounting of P250,000 disbursed from the second tranche from the Regional Development Council.

The activities were debate on regional autonomy during the Gotad ad Ifugao wherein there were four teams of school-based youths with 16 participants and five board of judges.

The total amount used for said activity was P18,300 which funded the prizes: grand champion (P5,000) awarded to Ifugao Science High School and P1,500 each to Sta. Maria NHS, Don Bosco High School and Aguinaldo NHS.

The activity sought to bring to the public issues affecting regional autonomy and empower the youth through active participation in discussion of issues on the matter.

Another activity was an autonomy summit for a third Organic Act with the event costing P56,734.

A workshop for the theatre group for a stage play on autonomy was also conducted which incurred P31,000.00.

A PETA trainers was tapped to conduct the workshop which targeted 25 theatre members with P25,800 allotted for performance of the said group in twoperformances.

A poster and main message contest and printing of winning entries incurred P50,000 and P30,000 for research assistance to Ifugao State University respectively.

The research was on “Level of awareness and acceptance of people on autonomy.”

A research questionnaire for random sampling with two barangays per municipality was also made with four students involved in the research.

An amount of P34,314 was intended for program management and other IEC activities.

Fund balance is P172,580.
