Man runs amuck in Isabela; 4 dead

BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya – Four people, including two children, were killed while two others were injured when man ran amuck in Isabela’s northwestern Roxas town on Wednesday.

           

Police identified the suspect as Jonar Makni, 37, who is facing murder charges for the killing of his mother-in-law Monica Rarama, 58; Flora Ucol, 60; Arianne Mae Rarama, three; and Valerie Rarama, three.

           

The suspect’s four-year-old son and Alexander Rarama, 50, were injured.

Makni reportedly hacked the victims with a bolo.

           

The victims’ relatives said Makni had been in and out of mental institutions.
