NPA guerillas surrender in Isabela, Ifugao

Two New People’s Army guerillas surrendered to authorities last week in Isabela and Ifugao.
               
An army report from Camp Dela Cruz, Gamu, Isabela said Killing Impiel ‘KaTres,’ 42 of of SitioAhud, Barangay Rizal, San Guillermo in the province surrendered with high powered firearm to Army troops of the 502nd Infantry Brigade and Delta Company of 77th Infantry Battalion at about on July 31.
               
Impiel surrendered with one M14 rifle and one  magazine with seven bullets. 

Impiel was presented to Maj. Gen. Rommel A. Gomez, commander of the Army’s 5th Infantry Division by Col. SannyGabot, commanding officer of 502nd Infantry Brigade witnessed by Col. Miguel T. Puyao Jr. , Assistant Chief of Staff for Civil Military Operations, G7, 5 Infantry Division.

Gomez gave initial financial assistance to Impiel for surrendering following negotiation through a government militia member.

Impiel said he joined the communist movement in 2007and had undergone training as combatant.

Being an Aeta, he was reportedly utilized as courier and guide during movements.

Impiel said he was tired of difficult life in the underground movement, main reason why he surrendered.

In Ifugao, Erwin Dadi Dulnuan aka Boyet, 19, of Pula Asipulo town surrendered without firearm to personnel of Ifugao Police Provincial Office and Provincial Social Welfare Development Office on August 7.

He said difficulty of life forced him to leave the underground movement and returned to the folds of law.
               
Prior to his surrender, he was under the command of Nona Del Rosario and was listed as the No 14 in the watch list of the Philippine National Police.
               
Lately, he said, he realized that the government was sincere in helping rebel returnee through the local integration program prompted him to surrender and to start a new life.
               
Meanwhile, in  Pinukpuk Kalinga, a 35-year-old man was arrested for physical injuries and grave threats.
               
The suspect was identified as Villamor M. Uday, farmer who was charged of the crimes.
               
Chief Insp. Gemma Braganza, implemented a warrant issued by Judge Josephine Gayagay of municipal circuit trial court for the arrest of Uday at his residence in Barangay Aciga in the town morning of August 7. 
               
The suspect is now in the custody of police.
               
On August 8, Luna, Apayao police and Abulug, Cagayan police led by SPO1 Gilbert T. Usita arrested Jimmy E. Tumbaga, 35, a resident of Tumog, Luna.
               
He was arrested in his residence and by virtue of warrant of arrest issued by Victor R. Cumigad, presiding judge of MTC, Abulug, Cagayan for reckless imprudence resulting to physical injuries and is now under custody of Luna police
