Registration of nursing licenses keds set by PRC in northern Luzon

BAGUIO CITY— The Professional Regulation Commission
is now accepting application for registration of license for passers of
the June 2012 Nursing Licensure
Examination (NLE).
PRC regional director Teofilo Gaius Sison Jr,
said successful examinees in Baguio, Dagupan, Cabanatuan and Laoag shall be registered
by PRC-Baguio pursuant to the Commission’s Office Order No. 2009-90 (dated
February 19, 2009) which sets a “Register Where You Applied for Exam” policy.
The PRC released last week result of the
board exam given by the Board of Nursing in testing centers nationwide on June
30-July 2012, of which 27,823 out
of the 60,895 examinees passed for a national passing rate of 46 percent.
PRC-Baguio supervised the NLE in the cities
of Baguio, Dagupan, Cabanatuan and
Laoag.
Sison said in Baguio, 45 percent, or 2,215 of
the 4,917 examinees successfully hurdled the June NLE.
In
Dagupan, 891 of 2,385 (37%)
passed, in Cabanatuan, 657 of 1,976 (33%) examinees passed, while in Laoag, 712
of 1,409 (51%) examinees passed.
To decongest the regional office and to
enable passers to save on travel time and expenses, Sison announced that
PRC-Baguio has also set schedules of initial processing in various registration
areas in La Union, Pangasinan and Laoag.
For La Union, scheduled registration dates
were earlier set in nursing schools.
The activity was held at Lorma Colleges in
San Fernando City on Sept. 4.
For Union Christian College, also of San
Fernando, registration will be on September 11.
Registration was held at Don Narciso Ramos
Gym in Lingayen, Pangasinan on August 29 while in Urdaneta City, it was at the Urdaneta
City Cultural and Sports Center on Sept. 3.
It will be Sept. 24 at Arenas-Resuello Sports
Complex in San Carlos City, Pangasinan.
For Laoag passers, registration was set
at theLaoag City Hall on Sept. 28 and at
the University of Northern Philippines in Vigan, Ilocos Sur on October 2.
Registrants shall personally register in
order to sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals with the following
requirements: Duly accomplished Oath Form
or Panunumpang Propesyonal; 2012 Community Tax Certificate (Cedula); two pieces passport-size pictures (colored with
white background and nametag); one piece
1”x1” picture (colored with white background and nametag); one piece documentary stamp; Original and
photocopy of National Statistics Office birth certificate (original copy for
presentation purposes only); and initial
registration fee of P600.00 and annual registration fee of P450.00 for
2012-2015.
