Sisters killed in daring Cagayan ‘robbery’ case

TUGUEGARAO CITY – Two elderly siblings were found dead Wednesday inside their house by unidentified perpetrators in Barangay Santor, Baggao, Cagayan.

Police identified the victims as ErlindaSabugal, 56, and her elder sister, Martha Tamayo, 82, saying the case was heinous.

Sabugal was found sprawled in the kitchen while Tamayo was discovered dead inside her room with money scattered near her body..

Both victims bore several stabs wounds. 

           

Police said, aside from robbery, they were looking at other angles so they can identify the perpetrators considering that the scattered money was not taken by assailants.

           

Lawmen said the case was considered a grave one in the town as it shocked the locals who said more effort should be done by police to identify and arrest the perpetrators.
