CSC releases written exams calendar for 2013

The Civil Service Commission has bared the calendar of civil service examinations and its testing centers for 2013.

The Career Service Examination-Paper and Pencil Test (CSE-PPT), both for Professional and Sub-Professional levels will be conducted on April 14, 2013 in Baguio City,  Bangued, Abra, Tabuk, kalinga and Bontoc Mt. Province  and October 13, 2013 schedule will be conducted in Baguio City, Bangued, Abra, Luna, Apayao and Lagawe, Ifugao.

Acceptance of Applications for the April 14 CSE-PPT is from November 19, 2012 to February 28, 2013 at any CSC Regional or Field Office using CS Form No. 100 (Revised November 2012).

 The CSE-PPT is open to Filipino citizens, regardless of educational attainment, who are at least 18 years old at the time of filing of application, and who have not taken the same level of examination within three months from the exam date.                     

Passing the CSE entitles one to either a Professional or Sub-Professional eligibility which, along with education, experience and training requirements, is needed for permanent appointment to corresponding positions in the government career service.

Other examinations to be administered for the year include the Foreign Service Officer Examination (FSOE) qualifying Test and Fire Officer Examinations (FOE) on February 10; the Local Scholarship  Program (LSP) Written Examination and the Penology Officer Examination (POE) both to be held on August 11, 2013.

The FSOE Qualifying Test will be conducted in collaboration with the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) in selected testing centers across the country.

The FOE is considered appropriate for second level ranks in the Bureau of Fire, and functionally related services. The LSP offers a one-year scholarship opportunity to qualified government employees to pursue master’s degree.

The POE  is considered appropriate for second level ranks in the jail and penology, and functionally related services, except ranks under the Philippine National Police.

The CSC advises interested applicants of the said government examinations to visit the

CSC website at www.csc.gov.ph regularly for admission qualifications, application period, requirements, procedure, and other related information.
