Baguio City racer gets council commendation

BAGUIO
CITY – The city council has commended a 22-year-old superbike racer from this
mountain resort for seven years of hard work, discipline and dedication in the
sport which brought honors to this city.
A
registered nurse from Upper Quezon Hill here, Raniel Resuello developed a
passion for racing since 2005, and is a member of a competitive racing team.
Last
Oct. 7, he was awarded the 2012 National Superbikes Crown of the Bridgestone
Philippines Superbikes Championships at Clark International Speedway,
Clarkfield, Pampanga.
Earlier,
in March 3, he was adjudged the over-all champion 130 cc underbone open class
MTRT Club race 2011, 9th Golden Wheel Award given at the Cultural
Center of the Philippines
Support
from the family, has contributed much to his achievements, the commendation
said.
Following
a regimen of practice for years, Resuello was well-prepared for his races.
In
May 2008, Resuello was champion in a 12-hour endurance race, in Batangas;
over-all 1st runner-up novice class superbike championship series,
Batangas racing circuit-Clark International speedway in 2009; and, 1st
runner-up superbike novice class Batangas racing circuit, in Rosario, Batangas
in April 2010.
In
Nov. 27, 2011, Resuello garnered the Fastest Privateer Award 130 Open class
IRGP 5, Carmona Race Circuit in Cavite.
The
council presided by vice-mayor Daniel Farinas through the commendation paid
tribute to “those that have positive impact and to private individuals who
continuously labor with their talents which includes Raniel Resuello.
The
resolution was unanimously approved by the city council.
