LAOAG CITY -- Police
Thursday filed charges of illegal possession of explosives and firearms against
four Chinese nationals after they were caught with high-powered firearms at
a checkpoint along the national highway in Barangay Davila, Pasuquin,

this, the police are also checking if the suspects have connection with
terroristic activities .

Sadino of Ilocos Norte police office identified those charged: Dang
Hoi Yin, Lui Sin, Lei Guang Fen and Dennis Co.
The suspects
were immediately locked in jail after they were subjected to inquest
proceedings through Lawyer Benjamin Domingo.

showed that the suspects were aboard a SUV driven by Co headed north when they
were flagged down and arrested.
Senior Supt.
Sterling Blanco, regional intelligence chief, said police confiscated from
suspects three sub-machine guns; two Cal.45 pistols, three .9mm pistol; four silencers for
different types of guns; hundreds of bullets; eight hand grenades; one
improvised explosive device (IED and improvised plate of vehicle.

looking into the background of the suspects whether they are terrorists or
syndicate members.
It was

gasoline station in Barangay Nagsanga, Pasuquin town where
they broke bottles, shocking the locals in the area.

the gasoline owner to call police assistance but the suspects escaped
immediately upon seeing responding lawmen.
