BAGUIO CITY — A colorful children’s mardigras
ushered in Monday’s opening of the “40th Silahis ng Pasko” in this city.
Children from the day
care centers in the 128 barangays and private school pupils dressed up in
colorful Christmas costumes together with their parents as they walked down
Session and Harrison Roads.
The parade ended at
the children’s playground in Burnham Park for a program awarding the
best-dressed participants. Veteran newsman Nars Padilla with the City Social
Welfare and Development Office co-chairs the annual event that the National
Correspondents Club of Baguio organized. Selection of the Lucky Christmas baby
is part of the Silahis ng Pasko program.
