23 injured in Bakun, Benguet road mishap

BAKUN,
Benguet -- At least 23 passengers were injured when a public utility vehicle
overturned here May 31 at 8 a.m. in Batanes-Gambang.
Reports from the National Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council
identified the 23 injured as Mary Anne Olcino, 16; Myra Paciteng, 16; Elsie
Lifcofen, 15; Carol Saguibal, 9; Mario Talicuad, 44; Marina Baclilii, 26;
Melody Talicuad, 12; Marissa Nadnasan, 11; BianaWaclin, 41; Shane Pakilo, 2;
Rita Paciteng, 54; Dolica Nadnasan, 41; Dolly Digway, 42; Eliza Digway,
one month; MarlynPaciteng, 27; Melio Paciteng, 55; Mac Kenry Banglig, 11;
Bernadeth Nadnasan, 30; Hezron Nadnasan, 1; Alicia Olsino, 48; NildaAluyan, 29;
Rayver Aluyan, 11 days; at Veronica Calgo, 24.
The vehicle, driven by Paul Busil-ac Talgo, lost its brakes while
ascending the road, causing it to reverse and overturn. SPO4 Domingo Carame,
duty officer of Bakun town police station, said some of the victims have
