PNoy opens P675-M bridge in Cagayan

PAMPLONA, Cagayan — The
Pamplona Bridge, a major infrastructure project linking Regions 2 with Region 1
and the northern municipalities of the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR)
was formally opened Wednesday in Barangay
Masi, here, by President Aquino and Public Works and Highways Secretary Rogelio
L. Singson.
DPWH Region 2 Director
Nerie D. Bueno said the official program and inauguration ceremony was held at
the new bridge built at a cost of P675 million.
The bridge, with a
length of 489.80 lineal meters consisting of nine spans with 330.20 lineal
meters total length of approaches, will provide convenience to the public in
transporting agricultural and commercial products to major trade centers in the
area and neighboring provinces.
“The newly constructed infrastructure will greatly
improve accessibility and mobility in the vicinity by providing an enhanced
transport facility in the Manila North Road which is the gateway to Region I,”
