Four dead, 6 hurt in Ilocos Sur, P’sinan road mishaps

URDANETA, Pangasinan -- Four persons, including a village chief, died while six others were seriously injured in separate road accidents in Pangasinan and Ilocos Sur on Tuesday night.

Aurelio Baracao of Barangay Malibago in Echague, Isabela, was driving a sport utility vehicle when it rammed a mango tree when he overtook another vehicle along the Manila North Road, said Supt. Jeff Fanged, Urdaneta City police chief.

Kenneth Mariano died while being treated at the Sacred Heart Hospital while Baracao’s wife Violy and four other passengers remain confined in a hospital.

Meanwhile, Leonardo Polar and GenaroTapuro Jr. died when their motorcycle hit a rock along the highway in Barangay Dardarat in San Juan, Ilocos Sur. 


Their companion, Joel Olivas, was brought to the Pira Clinic and Hospital in Cabugao town for treatment.
