Tabuk gov’t employee arrested for illegal gun
TABUK CITY, Kalinga – An employee of Tabuk City government identified as Christopher Caldingon Bongabong, 29, resident of Purok-6, Bulanao here was arrested after he was caught in possession of illegal firearms at vicinity of Boulevard Resto Bar night of Nov. 26.
Police were conducting search operations when they chanced on  the suspect failed to present documents of his Cal. 45 handgun loaded with seven bullets. 

Driver shot dead in LaTrinidad, another hurt
LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – A public utility vehicle driver and was shot dead by still unidentified gunmen while a man who went out from his house to see what happened was injured when he was also shot.   
A police report said the incident happened Tuesday around 7:40 p.m. along the national road here at Boted, Tawang. 
Dead was Doming Padiwan Bangkoko Jr., 53 while injured was Joseph Venacio Smith, 50.
Investigation disclosed Bangkoko Jr. was driving his jeep when suspects shot him and ran towards unknown direction. The victim was shot on his  head, body and thigh. He was a drug surrenderee of La Trinidad police station. The cadaver of Bangkoko Jr., was brought to Bahay Damayan Funeral Homes at Marcos Highway, Baguio City for autopsy while his vehicle was brought to La Trinidad police station.
Smith was reportedly inside their house when he allegedly heard the first gunshot so he immediately went out to check his child who was playing on the road. 
Two more shots were heard when Smith was hit on his left armpit. He was brought by his wife to Benguet General Hospital where he is undergoing medical operation. 

Taxi driver holds up female rider; takes phone, P9,000  
BAGUIO CITY – Beware when riding a taxi in this city. The driver of an Innova taxi bearing plate No. AYM 642 with trade name ELLEMAE reportedly held up a young female rider by taking her expensive cell phone and P9.000 cash. 
A police report said the incident happened Tuesday around 3:30 to 4 p.m. along 
Pine Tree Alley, Km 3 Asin Road. The victim was identified as Gail Guinyawan Dulnagelle, 22, accountanting staff of a firm in in Manila and was residing that time here at Guisad Surong. 
Investigation disclosed at about 3 p.m. that day, the victim boarded  said taxi from SM Baguio and asked the driver to ferry her to Km 3 Asin Road. Upon reaching Pine Tree Alley, the driver stopped the car and declared hold-up, brought out a kitchen knife then pointed it to the victim. The suspect then took the victim’s iphone 4 cell phone and cash money amounting to P9,000 and ordered her to get out. After the incident, the suspect maneuvered the taxi and fled to unknown direction.
Police have not yet arrested the suspect at press time. 

Man nabbed in Abra for shabu 
BUCAY, Abra --  A certain Benjamin Sayen Loy  was nabbed here Monday after Judge Raphiel F. Alzate, acting presiding judge of Branch 58 of Bucay issued warrant  for his arrest. 
Confiscated from Loy were two heat-sealed sachets containing shabu.

Man quarreling with partner stabs passersby
BAGUIO CITY – A man who went to visit his uncle was stabbed by still unidentified suspect who was quarreling with his female partner near the house.
A police report said the incident happened Nov. 27 around 10:20 p.m. at the 2nd floor terrace of the house at No. 097 Crystal Cave, Bakakeng Central.
The report said Freddie Pacsi Baladcus, 47,  farmer, native of Banaaw, Tadian, Mountain Province and resident of Begis, Tuba, Benguet was stabbed by still unidentified male person.  The incident was reported by the security guard of Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center at around 10:35 p.m. where the victim was rushed. 
Investigation revealed that the victim went to visit his Uncle Eddie Dongaso Ramirez, owner of the above mentioned residence and while on his way, he met spouses quarreling at the stairway proceeding to his uncle’s house. He asked permission to the couple to pass by, but the male person got irritated. 
Unknown to the victim, the suspect followed him, and upon reaching the terrace, he was stabbed several times and the suspect fled to unknown direction after the incident. 
The victim was rushed to the hospital by bystanders identified as Joey D. Almoete and Raymund A. Abaigar. Dr. Miguel Carlos Reyes revealed the victim suffered multiple cuts on his left arm, left armpit and clavicular sternom and was confined at the hospital for treatment. 

Man nabbed in side Baguio jail for estafa
BAGUIO CITY – a man was arrested inside the city jail here Nov. 27 for estafa. The suspect was identified as Raymund Francis Calpo, 30, tricycle driver, of Banilag, Paracelis, Mt. Province. This, after arrest warrant was issued by  Emmanuel Caho Rasing,  presiding judge of RTC Branch 3, Baguio City who set bail of P30,000 for Calpo’s temporary liberty.

Minor arrested for marijuana
BANGUED, Abra -- A 17-year-old out of school youth was was taken into custody here after he was caught dropping prohibited drugs in a police checkpoint here at Barangay Calaba, in front of Abra Electric Co. morning of Nov. 27.
This, after cops flagged down a motorcycle wherein the minor was back-rider for inspection. Cops said the minor, acting suspiciously dropped one suspected marijuana fruit tops that led to his apprehension.

Young man, minor stabbed in Baguio drinking spree 
BAGUIO CITY – A young man and a minor were critically stabbed  here Wednesday around 1 a.m. along an alley here at Lower Quirino Hill allegedly by their drinking mates. .
Police named victims as Jephunneh Gumilan Fortu, 19 and a 16-year-old male minor.
Investigation disclosed that prior to the incident victims with their friends were having a drinking session inside the residence of Karl Errol Meridor at No. 160 Lower Quirino Hill when the male minor and a certain Christian Balangue had a heated argument that resulted to a fist fight. Fortu allegedly tried to pacify his friends but due to intoxication, he was involved in the commotion wherein the male minor was stabbed on his right leg prompting him to run and sought the assistance of his older brother Johnson De Luna. 
The two returned and exchanged fist blows with Fortu and Balangue. During the commotion, Jephunneh sustained multiple stab wounds on  different parts of his body and was rushed at Pines City Doctor’s Hospital where he was operated on.

Waiter stabbed bymale paramour in inn 
BAGUIO CITY – A gay waiter was mauled and stabbed by an unidentified man here Wednesday around 2:30 a.m. inside Room 58, Leisure Lodge Inn at Magsaysay Avenue. The victim was named as Norlie Lozano Padilla, 26, stay-in waiter of Underground Bar, Sunnyside building, T. Alonzo St. 
Investigation disclosed at around 11:40 p.m. that day, the male suspect went at said bar and ordered one Red Horse beer. The victim entertained him and after a few hours, they agreed to spend the night at the inn. Once inside, and while doing sexual act, the suspect punched his face, pulled out a knife and stabbed his back. The victim resisted by shouting and parrying the knife attacks causing wounds on his fingers which caused the suspect to run outside the inn and escape. Witnesses present downstairs heard the screaming and commotion and sought police assistance. Cops brought the victim at Baguio General Hospital for medical treatment.

Newborn baby girl found on roadside 
BAGUIO CITY – A new-born baby girl was found here Tuesday around 6:30 p.m. at Sumulong Street, Barangay Holy Ghost Proper by one Brian Dao-anis Ngolab at the side of the road particularly at the stairs going to the house of Dao-as family. 
A police report said the baby was placed in a gray bag with baby clothing inside. Ngolab brought the baby to the house of one Elizabeth Lucio Sebastian who brought the newborn to SLU Hospital for check-up was admitted by physician Dr. Joshua Gaboy.
Police interview to Sebastian at the hospital who averred that her sister saw a female and a male person sitting at the side of the road holding a gray bag but ignored them knowing that they were just taking a  rest.

2 students pinned to wall by truck seriously hurt
LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – Two students were seriously hurt when they were pinned bya movig truck to a wall at narrow private road in Sun Valley, Pico here Nov. 27 around 10:30 a.m. The involved vehicle was an Isuzu Wing Van truck, registered to Johnny Tuazon Langato, and driven by Joseph Tuazon Panes, 42. 
Victims were Cynthia Ciriaco Pukis, 12, Grade 7 of Lubas National High School, and Yesha Unos Pukis, 12, Grade 6 of Tawang Elementary School, both residents of Banig, Tawang. 
Investigation disclosed the truck is headed to the highway when the victims who were walking along the shoulder of the road were pinned between the concrete wall and the left rear side of the truck. Both victims were injured on their heads and brought concerned citizens to Benguet General Hospital for medical attention. The driver and vehicle are now under custody of La Trinidad police.

Porter ran over by truck along highway dies 
BAGUIO CITY – A taxi passenger who just alit from the vehicle was bumped by another taxi, thrown on the road and ran over by a truck causing his instant death here Nov. 27.
 Investigation disclosed that the victim just alighted from the taxi and about to cross the opposite side of the road when he was bumped by another taxi with unidentified driver and license plate number who fled immediately towards the direction of Atab and Green Valley. 
Due to the strong impact, the victim was thrown at the opposite lane of the road and was ran over by an Isuzu Giga flat bed truck with Government Plate Nr. SKM-593 registered to the Municipality of Umingan and driven by Danilo Abecilla Minda, 44, of Nancalabasaan, Umingan. 
Said incident were witnessed by Umaga, Jr., and three male minor passengers of the truck identified as Mark Zarate Pimentel, Jesther Pascual De Los Santos and Bryan Patrata Corpuz. 
As a result, the victim died on the spot due to severe head injuries and his body was taken by personnel of Baguio Memorial Chapel as per the advice of the responding personnel of Baguio City Emergency and Medical Services. 
Responding traffic investigator confiscated the driver’s license of Minda and impounded the vehicle.
