Cops arrest DepEd officer for ‘molesting’ ALS student in office

BAGUIO CITY -- An education program specialist of the Dept. of Education was arrested for allegedly mashing the breast of a female student inside his office here on Tuesday.

A police report said Walter M. Pundo, 59, of the DepEd Alternative Learning System reportedly molested the student while she was fitting the uniform he issued to her.

Complainant Christy Fagarita Vargas, 26, ALS student, said the incident happened Tuesday around 11:30 a.m.

Police said the complainant went to ALS office to get her uniform but Pundo  informed her the size of her school uniform was not available.

Vargas then asked the suspect if she can have the uniform that ordered, but the suspect called her inside his office to try other sizes.

While inside the office, the suspect allegedly mashed her breast twice and hugged the complainant.

Responding personnel of Police Station 5 arrested the suspect.

Pundo, resident of No. 110 San Luis Extension here, was charged with acts of lasciviousness.
