Cops kill 3 rob gang members

SAN FABIAN, Pangasinan  —  Three alleged members of a robbery gang were killed in an alleged shootout with police officers in this town on Sept. 1.

Dennis Ambrosio, alias Pangok, the alleged leader of the group; Ernesto Gangat, alias Negro, and Danilo Sonaco, alias Muneng, all residents of Asingan, Pangasinan, were declared dead on arrival at the Region 1 Medical Center.

Three guns and ammunition were recovered from the fatalities.

 Police said the suspects drew their guns when they sensed that they had sold a stolen motorcycle to police officers who posed as buyers in Barangay Lekep Butao. -- Eva Visperas
