P’sinan councilor survives gun attack

STO. TOMAS, Pangasinan -- A councilor of this town suffered mere
abrasions when he managed to dodge the bullets in a gun attack Monday.
Ely Ramos had just arrived at his house in
Barangay Poblacion East at around 9 a.m. when unidentified motorcycle-riding
men opened fire.
Senior Superintendent Wilson Joseph Lopez said
Ramos was taken to the
Sto. Tomas Municipal Health Unit for treatment.
Two bullet shells for a gun of an unknown caliber were
recovered at the scene.
A manhunt for the suspects is ongoing.
