CAMP
DANGWA, La Trinidad, Benguet – The Police Regional Office-Cordillera hailed the
honesty and dedication to duty of Chief Inspector Thrislyn Sagpaey who returned
a misplaced bag of a senior citizen containing almost P40,000 cash.
Supt. Pelita Tacio,
Cordillera regional police information officer, said George I. Walsiyen, 78, of
Betag here was about to settle his tax obligation at Landbank – La Trinidad
when he noticed that his sling bag was missing.
Fortunately, Sagpaey
found the senior citizen’s bag at Health 101 Restaurant and got in touch with
the owner’s son.
Walsiyen claimed his bag
the following day at the office of the Regional Operations Plans Division,
where Sagpaey is assigned.
A grateful Walsiyen
offered the lady police officer a P2,000 as a reward.
Sagpaey,
however, politely refused saying it is fulfilling enough to be of help to the
senior citizen, who wished her luck because of her noble deed.
