Private terminal opens in Lagawe to help clear roads

LAGAWE,
Ifugao -- A private terminal was opened for public use last week
to cater to transport sectors, commuters and help clear
roads here.
The Lagawe Terminal located at Poblacion South in this capital town is owned and managed by the Blessed Cooperative whose members are the clergy of the Apostolic Vicariate of Bontoc-Lagawe.

It is a
social enterprise of the coop to the seminarians of the Vicariate.
The
terminal is open for public utility jeeps, vans and
mini-buses to the municipalities of Tinoc, Asipulo,
Mayoyao, and Aguinaldo, to Solano, Nueva Vizcaya, Maddela,
Quirino and Baguio City.
It has slots,
unloading space, waiting shed with benches, pay comfort rooms, restaurant and
snacks stall, street food corner, water system and CCTV cameras.
The public was enjoined to use the terminal for loading and unloading and not use the highway and inside roads for loading and unloading to reduce traffic congestion, and for the convenience of passengers.

municipal government is expected to implement a “no loading and unloading” policy
