LAGAWE, Ifugao -- A private terminal was opened   for public use last week to cater to transport sectors, commuters and help clear roads here.
The Lagawe Terminal located at Poblacion South in this capital town is owned and managed by the Blessed Cooperative  whose members are the clergy of the Apostolic Vicariate of Bontoc-Lagawe.
It is a social enterprise of the coop to the seminarians of the Vicariate.
The  terminal  is open for  public utility jeeps, vans and mini-buses  to  the municipalities of  Tinoc,  Asipulo, Mayoyao, and  Aguinaldo, to  Solano, Nueva Vizcaya,  Maddela, Quirino and  Baguio City.
It has slots, unloading space, waiting shed with benches, pay comfort rooms, restaurant and snacks stall, street food corner, water system and CCTV cameras.
The public was enjoined to use the terminal for loading and unloading and not use the highway and inside roads for loading and unloading to reduce traffic congestion, and for the convenience of passengers.
The municipal government is expected to implement a “no loading and unloading” policy along the highway and roads of the poblacion. (JDP/MBL- PIA CAR, Ifugao)
