Benguet gov’t: CPP-NPA- NDF persona non grata

LA TRINIDAD, Benguet --  The provincial government declared the Communist Party of the Philippines - New People's Army - National Democratic Front (CPP-NPA-NDF) and lawless elements persona non grata.

The provincial board passed resolution No. 2020-526 declaring the CPP-NPA-NDF persona non grata in the province, and expressing support to all peace initiatives of the administration.

“The peace-loving people of the province uphold their support and allegiance to the government and renounces the recruitment activities and/or anti-democracy propaganda of the CPP-NPA-NDF,” the resolution stated.

Board members said the resolution was a “firm commitment of strongly supporting all peace initiatives of the present administration and condemning in the strongest sense all terroristic acts perpetrated by the CPP and its military arm the NPA in the province.”

The measure is in line with Pres. Rodrigo Duterte's Executive Order No. 70 or the Whole-of-Nation approach in attaining inclusive and sustainable peace. -- PIA Benguet
