41 communist supporters withdraw support to CPP

TADIAN, Mountain Province – A total of 41 members of
Kasigudan Aywanan Takderan Binangun di Kabunian Organization (Katabiko)
withdrew their support to the Communist Party of the Philippines in rites here
in Barangay Bunga, on Jan. 30.
Capt. Marnie D. Abellanida, deputy chief of Regional police Public Information Office said the ceremony was facilitated by the Mountain Province Police Provincial Office, Regional Intelligence Division, Regional Intelligence Unit- 14, local government of Tadian, and Philippine Army.
The 41 members took their pledge of allegiance to the government officiated by Angeline Pul-ocan, Katabiko member followed by the reading of their resolution denouncing members of the CPP persona non grata.
Col. Angel Madarang, deputy brigade commander of 702nd Brigade of the Philippine Army, urged the 41 members to support government in fight against insurgency.
Meanwhile, Felizberto Matute, provincial director of TESDA, offered free scholarships to members interested in enrolling in courses provided by the agency.
Col. Ruben B. Andiso, provincial director of MPPPO, urged the 41 members to be cautious in joining organizations to avoid being confronted by communist groups.
