8 cops awarded for good work

CAMP DANGWA, La Trinidad, Benguet – Eight police officers, four of them women, were recently awarded here for their accomplishments.
Col. John C. Chua, acting deputy regional police director for administration, led the awarding of the women cops on March 7 with the regional police Command Group.
A Medalya ng Ugnayang Pampulisya (police relations medal) was awarded to Co. Jessiemy R. Protacio of Regional Medical and Dental Unit and CPl Melody Paleng of regional Community Affairs and Development Division for successful PNP outreach program and medical, dental and optical mission at Ambassador, Tublay, Benguet.
Another Medalya ng Ugnayang Pampulisya was awarded to Pat. Anghelita Bab-anga and Medalya ng Kasanayan (efficiency medal was awarded to NUP Rosmarie Behis of BCPO Loakan Police Station for successful implementation of their station dubbed “Police Hour” themed “Anak mo, Anak ko, Anak nating lahat” which concerns the youth in the area and neighboring communities.
Four personnel of Baguio Airport Police Station were also awarded earlier for their notable accomplishments during the “distinguished visitor program” here on March 4.
Brig. Gen. Ysmael S. Yu, director of PNP Aviation Security Group, led the awarding of PNP personnel with Cordillera police director Brig. Gen. Ronald O. Lee and the ProCor Command Group.
A Medalya ng Ugnayang Pampulisya (police relations medal) was awarded to Maj. Jerry Costina and Msg. Rudy Gumafiay for giving gifts to students of Loakan Elementary School.
A Medalya ng Kasanayan (Efficiency medal)was awarded to PCMS Neil Ayangda and PCPl Lardy Gomoyod for serving as police security during conduct of national vaccination day at Mil-an National High School.
Two retiring cops honored

Trinidad, Benguet -- Police Regional Office Cordillera honored two retiring PNP
personnel during the "Salamat Kapatid Program" here on Feb. 24.
Acting deputy regional director for administration Col. John C. Chua graced the ceremony together with Command Group and regional staff.
Chua presented the medalya ng paglilingkod and plaque of appreciation to honor the retirees for their faithful and honorable service to the organization and for their commendable dedication to service.
Lt. Rogelio Limbawan served for 26 years, three months, and 10 days while PEMS Francis Alfonso rendered 31 years, eight months, and 12 days in police service.
Chua extended his gratitude to the retirees for their contribution to accomplishment of the mission and vision of the PNP, particularly in PROCor, which earned them honor not only for themselves but for the organization.
The retirement honors ceremony or the “Salamat Kapatid Program” is a tradition of giving honor and recognition to retiring personnel of the PNP for their long years of dedicated service to the organization, country and community.

11 Ilocos Region women cops cited for accomplishments
CAMP FLORENDO, San Fernando La Union — The Police Regional Office 1 under the leadership of its regional director Gen. Westrimundo Obinque, kicked off Women’s Month celebration with an all-female parade led by Maj. Aurora Cruz, Company Commander and Company Ex-O, Police Captain Crystal Jane Torda.
With the overall theme “We make change work for women,” which is focused on “Agenda ng kababaihan, tungo sa kaunlaran,” the program highlighted the advocacy for the development of women.
In recognition of women’s significant contributions in the society, and as a way of fostering progress in empowering women, PRO1 conferred awards to 11 female personnel for their efforts in police functions which included administrative and operations.
Obinque cited women especially those who belong to the police force.
