Town exec dies in road mishap; mayor injured

SAN FERNANDO, LA Union
– A municipal councilor in Quezon, Isabela died while the mayor of the same
town, his wife and four others were injured in a vehicular accident Christmas
night, Dec. 25.
Candido
Andumang, 70, died while being treated in a hospital, where Mayor Jimmy Gamazon
Jr., 46, his wife Mercy, 44, and four others were taken for treatment,
according to Maj. Joseph Curugan, town police chief.
Investigation
showed Andumang was driving a pickup when he collided with Gamazon’s car and a
sport utility vehicle driven by Meireece Ferrer, 30.
The impact
caused Andumang’s car to roll over.
