3 cabalens named to gov’t positions

BAGUIO CITY – President Arroyo has appointed three fellow Kapampangans to top positions at the North Luzon Railways Corp., the Technology Resource Center and the Department of Public Works and Highways in the Cordillera.
Malacañang’s External Affairs Secretary Edgardo Pamintuan told the media the President has appointed Paolo Hizon, a businessman from this town, as his replacement as president of Northrail Corp.
On the other hand, Dennis Cuna¬nan, who hails from Magalang town, took over last week as the new director-general of TRC, a government corporation attached to the Department of Science and Technology.
Hizon’s appointment was prompted by Pamintuan’s candidacy for mayor of Angeles City.
The regional director of the DPWH in Cordillera chief was also replaced with a cabalen of President Arroyo.
Roy Manao, acting regional director of the DPWH, was replaced by Enrico S. Guilas from Lubao town in Pampanga. Both are engineers.
Guilas was former assistant regional director of Pampanga.
