School principal stabbed dead

AGUILAR, Pangasinan -- Police launched a manhunt against two men who robbed and stabbed dead Monday a school principal here in Barangay Pagomboa.
Supt. Harris Fama, regional deputy police director for operations, identified the victim as Priscila May Zaratan, principal of the Zaratan Rural Institute that is owned by the victim’s family.
The victim, a police report said, was then sleeping inside the school when she was awakened by the suspicious entry of the two robbers.
At this juncture, the victim tried to prevent the men from robbing but she was stabbed repeatedly.
The victim was able to run but was followed by the suspects who again stabbed her repeatedly.
Juanito dela Cruz, another occupant, tried to rescue the victim but he, too, was stabbed by the suspects before fleeing. – Mar T. Supnad
