ALFONSO LISTA, Ifugao-- The municipal government under mayor Glenn Prudenciano recently established a gas station here as centralized source of fuel for the different offices of the municipal government.
The establishment of the filling gas station at the motorpool is part of the cost cutting measures being undertaken in response to the unabated rising cost of fuel in the world market.
It is managed and supervised by the General Services Office of the municipality to regulate the disbursement of gas allocations of offices of the municipal government.
Before any authorized motor vehicle can gas up, a duly signed gas and requisition slip from the concerned office head should be presented to the officer operating the gas station only during office hours.
All procurements made would be recorded in the logbook of the person in charge to determine the daily consumption the different offices as stated in their approved respective gas allocations.
Offices who had exceeded the prescribed gas allocations will not be allowed to refill in the gas station unless an appropriate re-alignment of funds approved by the Sangguniang Bayan be presented.
A weekly inventory and audit of the content of the gas tank will be conducted properly monitor the daily consumption of diesel fuel and to also ensure the proper disbursement of fuel.
Meanwhile, any town official or individual who intercedes or attempts to influence the GSO for the release of gasoline with the proper documentation will be prosecuted depending on the gravity of the offense.
Alfonso Lista is a 3rd class municipality located on the easternmost part of Ifugao bordering the provinces of Isabela on the east and Mountain Province on the north.
