SAGADA,
Mountain Province -- The Sangguniang Bayan here made a resolution strongly
condemning the killing of Sagada native Arthur Bomogao, resident of
barangay Kasigayan, Tabuk City, Kalinga.
Bomogao
was shot to death by unidentified assailants Aug. 31, in front of his house,
reports said.
It
was learned that Bomogao won a land dispute case just before he was
killed.
The
Sagada SB in their resolution urged Tabuk officials to solve the case as soon
as possible.
The
SB chaired by Vice Mayor Richard Yodong also requested regional police director
Chief Supt. Benjamin Magalong to create a special task force to conduct
investigation of said case.
Concerned
residents from Sagada who have migrated to Tabuk also aired their concerns
saying police should hasten investigation so Bomogao’s murderer/s would be
identified, arrested and charged in court.
They
said murderers should not roam free and kill with impunity.
