PAOAY, Ilocos Norte — A museum showcasing the memorabilia of late President
Ferdinand E. Marcos was formally opened here at the Malacañang of the North,
coinciding with the celebration of 95th birthday of the former President last
Tuesday here.
Associate Professor Eric Zerrudo, Director of the University
of Santo Tomas-Center for Conservation of Cultural Property and Environment in
the Tropics (UST-CCPET) said Thursday that the way he redesigned the seven
rooms in the famous presidential house was to characterize various facets of
the late President’s 20-year regime.
“The new museum will not only showcase the late President
and the former First Lady Imelda R. Marcos’ bequests but also the lifestyle of
the Marcos family as a whole,” Zerrudo said.
“In this museum, you will realize that FEM was indeed a
“working president,” he added.
It was learned that the FEM museum is now open to public and
is one of attraction at the Malacañang of the North.
