Grade 12 stude commits suicide in Atok, Benguet

ATOK,
Benguet – A Grade 12 student reportedly wrote a farewell note to his family,
then committed suicide here Tuesday.
Police identified the
victim as Jezreel Martinez Sacley, 20, student of St. Paul's Academy and
resident of Sayangan, Paoay.
A
police report said around 8:30 a.m. that day, an employee of Atok District
Hospital reported to Atok police station an alleged suicide victim was brought
to Atok District Hospital at Sayangan.
Police talked to Benny
Palasi Sacley, father of the victim, who said he was cooking for breakfast in
their kitchen around 6:30 a.m. when he saw his son Jezreel coming down from his
room. He did not notice what his son did because he was busy cooking. He then
saw his son went up to the attic.
At about 6:45 a.m., he went to the room of his
son to call him to eat. When he opened the door, he reportedly saw his son
hanging with a fan belt tied on his neck and shouted for help then he lost
consciousness.
His
two other sons, Jeezer Sacley and Elizer Sacley, who were at the same house
heard the shout of their father.
They went to the room
of their brother, saw Jezreel hanging and immediately brought down the victim
and rushed him to the hospital.
The attending
physician declared the victim dead on arrival around 7:20 a.m.
A “suicide note” of
the victim, was reportedly found at the place of incident. The remains of the
victim was brought to their residence in Sayangan for the wake.
