Cagayan barangay chairman shot dead

CAMP MARCELO ADDURU, Tuguegarao City- A barangay chairman was shot dead while a barangay tanod was wounded in a shooting incident in Barangay Lallayug, Tuao, Cagayan.

The chairman was identified as Orlino Gannaban, 52, and the tanod as as Espidio Zingabo, 69. Police said Gannaban was about to drive home on his motorcycle with Zingabo when a man with a gun approached them and starting shooting at the two.

 The chairman was hit in different parts of the body that resulted to his instantaneous death. Zingabo was taken to the Tuao District hospital with a gunshot wound to the chest.
