ROSALES, Pangasinan – Some 46
Pangasinenses stranded at the Regional Border Control Point in Tarlac-Rosales
Boundary were allowed Thursday to enter the province after 14 days.
They were fetched by
their respective local government units (LGUs), and municipal or city health
offices.
They were taken to
quarantine facilities where they will stay for 14 days.
Gov. Amado I. Espino III
directed the Provincial Health Office to conduct mass testing for the stranded
Pangasinenses.
While awaiting results,
they were placed under quarantine in their respective municipal and city
quarantine facilities.
The stranded
Pangasinenses underwent polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests using
nasopharyngeal and oropharyngeal swabbing on the same day they were allowed
entry into the province.
Police at the border
were still strictly implementing enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) protocols.
Meanwhile, the
provincial government distributed relief packs to all the Pangasinense allowed
to re-enter the province.
Local government units
are given 15 days to liquidate after pay out. (JDP/PAB-PIA CAR, Kalinga)
