LAMUT, Ifuga -- Stranded students and displaced workers outside the province due to the enhanced community quarantine may now go home but will have to follow the set protocols.
The
Provincial Inter-Agency Task Force (PIATF) COVID-19 gave the green light to
local government units (LGUs) to bring home their constituents provided they
are ready to accommodate them in quarantine facilities and provide the needed
resources as per Department of Health protocols.
The
extraction of Ifugaos will be conducted until next week only through the
"Oplan Gawid" program of the provincial government and the different
municipal LGUs. The LGUs should coordinate with the provincial government prior
to the scheduled extraction for transportation arrangement and other needed
concerns.
Interested folks were advised
to send their complete personal information to their respective municipal
contact person until May 8 for consolidation of the Oplan Gawid coordinator to
be submitted to the PIATF as basis for the scheduling and coordination of the
staggered extraction.\
The PIATF will call or
text the individuals for confirmation. There will be common pick-up
points. During the pick-up, they should present their valid
identification cards. They will be instructed to fill-up honestly the health
declaration form to be provided by the fetcher and oriented on health protocols
before boarding the bus. Strictly no chance passengers.
Returnees shall undergo
rapid testing courtesy of their respective municipalities and shall submit
themselves to the required 14-day quarantine in their designated municipal
quarantine facilities.
Earlier plans to bring
home stranded students and workers was stalled after the province recorded its
first confirmed COVID-19 case last April 25. (JDP/MBL-PIA CAR, Ifugao)
