Kalinga DSWD accepting livelihood grant applications

CITY OF TABUK, Kalinga – The Social Welfare and Development here is now accepting eligible applicants for the Livelihood Assistance Grant (LAG).

Macfarlyne Bumusao, provincial LAG coordinator, said micro enterprises affected by the community quarantine are the priority of this payroll assistance in the amount of P15, 000. 

LAG is granted to eligible families whose livelihoods are affected by the implementation of the community quarantine. This aims to aid the target beneficiaries who have suffered economic losses and provide economic recovery/rehabilitation through financial assistance for micro-enterprise or employment related activities particularly to those in the informal sector. 

Beneficiaries may include eligible Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program families and Social Amelioration Program beneficiaries. 

The SAP form will be used to assess beneficiaries in the informal sector.

With the help of barangay officials, the Municipal Social Welfare Officers will certify the list of target recipients and for SWAD to validate.  Qualified applicants will be oriented upon   lifting of the general community quarantine.
Bumusao said the local government units are responsible in the preparation of proposals.   .
            Liquidation of said livelihood grant is two to seven days after release (JDP/PAB-PIA CAR, Kalinga)
