LAMUT, Ifugao -- A Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) member based in Binondo, Manila is Ifugao’s second coronavirus disease (Covid-19) case, an official of the Lamut town health office said on Tuesday.
Lamut Municipal Health Officer (MHO) Dr. Rhodara Montessa confirmed the second case, who is from Panopdopan, arrived in his hometown on May 1.
Following the Department of Health protocols, the patient was brought to the Tourism Village for the mandated 14-day quarantine, Montessa said.
She said the patient had cough upon arrival and the swab test on him turned out positive.
The MHO is now contact tracing to know who came in contact with the patient.
