STO. DOMINGO, Ilocos Sur-A farmer drowned
Tuesday on a deep well after asking “permission to die” here in Barangay Parada.
Police identified the
victim as Juan Tubon y Jaramillo, 59, of said barangay.
Prior to this, police
said the said person was reported missing by his wife Paustina Tubon after he
left their house night of May 24.
But before leaving
their house, the victim said in Ilocano dialect "Palubusan dakun"
(let me go).
His family later
searched for him and found his body floating in a deep well at a rice field.
Police said the victim
was mentally disturbed. Last week of April, he reportedly attempted to commit
suicide by drowning himself in a deepwell but he was rescued.
Victim was declared
dead by Dr. Guzman of RHU Sto. Domingo, where he was rushed.
