PROCor, IBP-Baguio-Benguet set work MOA

BAGUIO
CITY – Cordillera police director Brig. Gen. Ronald O. Lee met with top
officers of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines Baguio-Benguet chapter last
week to establish good working relationship between police and lawyers among
other work-related matters.
Lee and Col. Angel Salvador, chief of Regional Police Security and Protection Unit Cordillera met Hilario V. Belmes, IBP, Baguio-Benguet president for a dialogue here at Lafayette, Military Cut-Off on May 27.
Belmes expressed interest for a mutually beneficial partnership with PROCor.
Their discussion included free legal services to any service-related cases of Cordillera police, education of police officers on investigation, evidence and criminal law and security of lawyers in the region.
He added an information drive through webinar will be conducted between RPSPU COR and IBP Baguio-Benguet Chapter on awareness of lawyers regarding Police Protection program of the PNP.
A memorandum of agreement between the IBP Baguio-Benguet Chapter and PROCor will be prepared to strengthen the partnership.
Meanwhile, a “license to own and possess firearm (LTOFP) caravan to cater to lawyers, prosecutors, judges and legal frontliners will be scheduled anytime this week at the IBP Office Baguio, which will be facilitated by Baguio City Police Office.
