BAGUIO
CITY — The Dept. of Interior and Local Government has issued a warning against
the unauthorized use of the DILG logo and seal for solicitation, sponsorship,
recruitment, production of materials, and obtaining other favors from local
government units and even field offices of the Department.
“The DILG has not issued any authorization to use its name, logo, or address for illegal transactions of any private individuals and groups,” said Cordillera OIC regional director Araceli San Jose last week.
“The DILG is continuously receiving reports that various private individuals, organizations, or groups are either utilizing the DILG seal and logo without authority,” she added.
“It has come to our attention that a number of private individuals, organizations, or groups are charging their members, recruits and the public certain fees and are misrepresenting that they are accredited by the Department.”
San Jose urged public to immediately report to authorities such individuals or their bogus group and all other related incidents involving similar schemes.
